Singaraja is the home of our heritage and the original capital of Bali. Our tour begins with traditional silk weaving then on to the only manuscript library in Indonesia, which contains writings on Balinese ritual, healing arts, magical formulas, poetry and palm leaf scripts. We proceed to a museum that contains antiques and ancient collections of paintings and statues. We will visit the harbor which was once Bali’s most important shipping center, then to the oldest Chinese temple in Bali, on to a traditional market and the tour concludes among the colorful architecture of the Sawan Village where Balinese gamelan instruments are made.
